My Question

Numpy 2.0 compatibility is quickly becoming a must-have, because (as an example) on brew-based Mac systems it is pretty much impossible to install an older version of numpy.

Is it possible to release a v0.18.1 with numpy 2 compatibility? This is generating a lot of bug reports and no doubt countless unreported errors.
