Are you saying you have some reason to doubt that the Twitter/X account in question belongs to the person who took the photo? Can someone check what/how Ticket:2009063010002351 plays into File:Radar image of the 2011 Joplin tornado May 22, 2011 2248Z.png? Several discussions on radar images have occurred, which has lead to {{PD-NEXRAD}} becoming a thing. Per the ticket, it says attribution is required for a NEXRAD radar screenshot. Unfortunately, the phrasing vous pouvez réutiliser un portrait trouvé sur internet is ambiguous, as well as its English translation above. Literally, it could mean: You can reuse a portrait which you found on the internet, which is obvious nonsense. the only sensible interpretation is you can reuse on the internet any portrait which you found (in the collection). This fresh interpretation of the French translation may have some bearing on the disscussion here: Commons:Village pump/Copyright#Studio Harcourt (PD before 1992). The email thread following the above ticket number has the representative of the rights holder (the director of a county Emergency Management Agency) declining to release the image under a free license: "I would prefer we retain the image rights the way they are." An email regarding the permission from the original author of the subject (graffiti) of these two files File:CUET Canteen 3 graffiti 01.jpg & File:সিরিয়ার দেবশিশু ০১.jpg were submitted to the VRTS. [1] However, it was declined stating "the message was not sufficient". Note: I'm not a VRT member, I'm a admin trying to help sort this out. I'm not certain this is a VRT issue at all, but I wanted it to be in a place where someone relevant might see it.

Quick translation of the above into English; his style is a bit telegraphic, but I'm pretty sure I've understood correctly: "Please restore my erased photos, they are [sonde => son de] of my authorship. My multiplexer device and its image recording system by means of five special cameras, developed in my laboratory, are high-velocity. They only record videos. Because of this, one takes a screenshot in specific moments that can graph real states of light composition. I can put at [your] disposition a link to my OneDrive to prove the images are mine."

Offhand, it sounds to me like this isn't about any existing ticket. Perhaps what needs to happen is for him to send confidential email to the usual VRT address for Spanish, containing that link to his OneDrive? Or does this need something else to happen? It looks like the deleted files were:

I didn't look at all the histories, so some might be different, but typically Omphalographer marked as possible copyright violation because "These are all obviously screenshots of a video, not own work," and WdWd deleted. It does look likely to me that these could be legitimate, and that the uploader could be the videographer.

Kayser cuantum C en el nombre de fantasía que he hecho para rotular el trabajo de investigacion generando imágenes reales. No son resultados de simulación por ordenador. En estas imagenes a mi parecer el foton copia ell recorido entre las dos orbitas del electron que lo genera. Asi su forma es algo similar a una C mayúscula. Por eso en vez de llamar quantum lo llamo Cuantum C. El experimento que realizó con el multiplexor me deja ver a mi parecer que los fotones no son ondas. Sino lo que dijo planck paquetes individuales de energía. Una especie de partícula individual de energía. Que tiene segun mi parecer al ver los videos, de ensamblarce unas a otras cercanas y en determinados momentos hacer cadenas que han confundido a muchos a creer que es una onda. El patron mal llamado de interferencias. No lo provoca cancelación por enfrentamiento de Fase. El patron observado es un espectro de intermodulacion. Que si pudiera subir un video se podría comprender mejor mi teoría.

Afaics, the ticket was approved by all files mentioned in it: File:08 Tessa Stammberger.jpg, File:23 Aliaksandra Tarasava.jpg, File:06 Finja Schaake.jpg, File:TKH-Team 2021-2022.jpg and File:TK Hannover Luchse.jpg, but I'm unsure why the last image was left without the permission tag. Hello, I have a question regarding the photo mentioned in the title. I was surprised to find out that the photo was deleted on 29 June 2024 due to "no permission". I don't frequent Commons that much (sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place), so as an author of that photo I don't exactly understand what "no permission" is... Hi VRT -- permissions-commons was CCed on an email to me with the above subject line by a photographer. (Timestamp: Wed, 18 Sep 2024 20:10:37 -0500)

In it, they specifically referred to an image on English Wikipedia, which JJMC89 (talk · contribs) took down, but the bigger context was an image that's hosted here on Commons: File:A tornado south of Hinckley, Illinois on February 27, 2024.jpg

I'd originally reached out to this photographer to verify the Uploader's belief that this was a Public Domain image (ticket:2024091610007894), but they replied in a new thread and so will have a new ticket number.

Could someone please add that ticket number to the Deletion Request that's been open for a few days? (And/or action the request)? The wording in the email is pretty strong. --Rlandmann (talk) 05:33, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
