Seems nbinteract doesn't work with latest version(s) of Python since it did away with encodestring. Any idea for when updates will be available or if there is another way to address this issue? Great tech, I'd like to use this with Python 3.9 :)

Thanks for posting. I'm swamped for the next few months so I won't be able to take a close look :( . But if you'd like to submit a PR I'll happily review.

Hello, i am having the same issue with python 3.9. Is there anyother solution to this problem? I have though about creating a new environment with a python version that is lower, but i can't find information of which version works with nbinteract.
Thank you for your time and i really hope this project keeps evolving! It's a fantastic tool for scientists
