In the future, the world is still recovering from the tech crash of 2093 that wiped out most technology and almost destroyed the civilization. Everything is now run by the benevolent cyber-curator. Tragically, the biogel he's running on has been almost depleted and he's dying. His pet project is the Museum of Fantastic Phenomena. Since time-traveling technology has been invented, he sends his enthusiastic digital agents to the past to locate interesting unique objects that the future has lost track of. The objects are retrieved from the past and put in the museum as part of its permanent historical exhibition. Dying Curator asks you, the Archivist, to help his two best time-traveling agents Victor Vector and Vector's talking cyber-dog Yondo retrieve the original biogel that was used for his creation. The two return to the eve of the crash, the same time when the Curator has been originally constructed. They must figure out where to go and what to do to reach their ultimate goal, the science building that holds the biogel, and collect the correct items that they'll need to overcome the obstacles in the way. They also meet an old friend, Delta Mode, although she has never met them. The game is both the prequel and the final sequel that ends the franchise and it reveals the history of the game's future world as well as the backstory of some of the recurring characters. See less
