My Time at Evershine Release Date

developer: Pathea Games publisher: Pathea Games

My Time at Evershine is the third part of a sandbox RPG series with life simulation elements, launched in 2019. The production was developed by the independent studio Pathea Games, which has been overseeing the development of the series from the beginning, while it was created, among other things, with financial support from players.

Plot

The action of My Time at Evershine takes place three years after the events presented in My Time at Sandrock. The title puts more emphasis on the plot and makes us face a better-defined antagonist than we had in the previous parts of the series.

The production takes us to the title's settlement. After the conflict between the Duvos Empire and the Principality of Ethea began to gain momentum, it was established by the Alliance of Free Cities to increase the defense capabilities of its northern borders.

In the course of the gameplay, we take on the role of a character who, as governor of Evershine, must ensure that it turns into a real metropolis and a fortress capable of opposing the Duvos Empire.

Gameplay

In My Time at Evershine the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The production puts at our disposal a vast, open world, which we can freely roam (on foot or even by gliding). Along the way we get to know its inhabitants and perform a variety of tasks pushing forward the plot and side quests. Over time, we also get to know the characters who decide to join us. We can travel in the company of a team of up to three people or send companions on independent missions. As we progress, relationships with selected characters can turn into romances.

Leading an entire team involves taking care of the needs and desires of each of its members. Among other things, we must pay attention to the level of fatigue and hunger of each character, as they directly affect their performance and combat potential. Speaking of which - the game does not lack opportunities for dynamic clashes with opponents. The skirmishes are based on an arcade combat system, which places a premium on reflexes and remaining in constant motion.

Our base, and at the same time the apple of our eye and the place we should take care of, is the title city. Over time, we develop Evershine by constructing a variety of buildings, based on the resources acquired earlier. Although there is nothing to prevent us from doing it ourselves, the game allows us to send neutral characters to work. As we progress, we also develop our character, which can thus face more and more challenges.

Game modes

My Time at Evershine allows both solo and cooperative play over the Internet; up to three people can play through the story campaign, with the host of the session controlling the pace of story discovery.

Technical issues

The game's graphic design of My Time at Evershine is kept in a manga style.
