Actors are capable of doing a lot to get their dream role. Channing Tatum, who is well known in Hollywood, also competed for a part in one Quentin Tarantino film, ready to fight other artists who were interested in the same role.

Tatum was relentless and wasn't about to let the director of The Hateful Eight forget about him, and as a result he was inundated with messages. Blink Twice star wanted Tarantino to cast him in his masterpiece in the role of Jody Domingre, which was not a big one, but that didn't matter to the actor. He simply wanted to be part of the movie.

He talked about his efforts on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (via The Hollywood Reporter).

I basically sent about an email a day for about a month just threatening any other actors that might be up for the role. I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role. I’m so happy that he didn’t say, “Well Mike Tyson is up for this role”.

Tatum joked that they might lock him in a windowless room with other actors interested in the role, and the winner would be the one who managed to get out of there on his own. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and Tatum won the role in The Hateful Eight thanks to his tenacity.

However, it turns out that working on the set of this production was a stressful experience for him. Step Up star was stressed by the presence of many stars of high caliber, which made him shaky when reading the script with the rest of the cast.
