Henry Cavill has worked with a variety of filmmakers, however, there is one with whom he apparently works particularly well, as he is eager to take on more projects with him. We are referring to Guy Ritchie. The former Witcher starred in such of his films as The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, as well as the as yet unavailable In the Grey.

Cavill said during an interview with MovieWeb that Ritchie creates a safe space on his sets where everyone feels comfortable and knows they can speak up.

It felt comfortable. Guy is really good at creating an environment where creativity feels safe. He's a really good leader on set . He gives everyone their room to shine as well. And without sounding corny, because people always say this, they say it feels like family. It really does , because he's been working with a lot of those guys since his earliest movies on the crew.

At the same time, the actor assures that when someone starts misbehaving, the director has no reluctance to point it out to him. Just as he doesn't hold back from laughing at other people's bad ideas, although Cavill's statement shows that he doesn't see this as a bad thing. It seems that the actor appreciates that Ritchie wasn’t nursing anyone’s egos.

There's a casual aspect of the whole thing where, if you are acting like a knob, he'll tell you, “You're being a knob”. If you come up with terrible ideas, you will be made fun of by him and everyone else. The crew are coming up with ideas. But if you come up with great ideas, he'll either steal them and make them his ideas. Or, he will praise you and it'll become a great thing. And it's all fun. And that's what movie making, in my opinion, should be like. And there's a real freedom of language and creativity on set. And so that's what it felt like for me.

While the thought of being laughed at or having your idea stolen may seem daunting, Cavill presented it in such a cheerful way that it all seems to play out in a camaraderie atmosphere, making it acceptable.
