- Yolande Moreau was born on February 27, 1953 in Brussels, Belgium. She is an actress and director, known for When the Sea Rises (2004), Amélie (2001) and Seraphine (2008).
- Wrote and performed the one-woman-show "A Dirty Business of Sex and Crime" that toured all over France, Switzerland, Quebec etc. (1982).
- As of 2016, she's the only Belgian winner of the Best Actress César award.
- Is one of 5 Belgian actors to win a César award. The others are Natacha Régnier, Cécile de France, Déborah François and Matthias Schoenaerts.
- Worked as educator and in a children's theater in Brussels.
