Amma oeuvre depuis plus de trente ans à diffuser un message d'espoir à ses disciples en les exhortant à s’éveiller à leur vraie nature. Pour cela elle préconise le travail désintéressé et les pratiques spirituelles (sadhana). De nombreuses activités charitatives ont été initiées par Amma (construction d’hôpitaux dispensant des soins gratuits, des orphelinats, etc…) Quelques livres sont parus en français dont la série Éveillez-vous mes enfants en 9 volumes, Guide-nous vers la Lumière,… Voir aussi un entretien dans 3e millénaire n°72.

Awaken Children : Dialogues with Sri Sri Amr… by Swami Amritaswarupananda
The nine volumes in this series beautifully document Amma's conversations with householder devotees and brahmacharis. Most of the events take place in the mid 1980s, with "Volume 1" going back as far as 1976 and "Volume 9" chronicling Amma's first World Tour, in 1987. Covering innumerable subjects and conveying Amma's earthy, riveting, and often humorous manner of satsang, these books are the perfect way to get a solid grounding in Her teachings.
