- Could you also replace it in the user talk archives too?
- As you want to delete it as unused, it's our responsibility to make sure it's really unused before to delete it, including in .../Archives page (they're especially made to keep old talk page entries, it's their goal!). --Dereckson (talk) 09:17, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

The poster artwork is not of Australian origin, but from the U.S., and is still under copyright in US Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:47, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- From my understanding of the US copyright laws, it would still require a copyright notice (which it doesn't have). Also, the poster design itself may have been created by the company hired to do the lithograph; do you have access to the American poster (preferably of a high quality to check for copyright notices) for comparison? Crisco 1492 (talk) 08:10, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- The notion that the artwork for the poster of a major film release by a major studio with major stars (Lombard and Benny) would be left up to the printer is, please excuse me, entirely ludicrous.
The copy of the US poster I have is not high enough resolution to see what it is, but there is text at the bottom of the poster, and, as artwork, all it would be required to have is the (c) symbol and the initials of the copyright holder, not a full "(c) Copyright 19xx by XXXX" as in books or films. Further, whether the Australian version does or doesn't have a copyright notice makes no difference to its copyright status in the US. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:16, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- The issue with "text at the bottom" is that it could also only be "Lithograph by ...", so it isn't very helpful. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the changes from the modification of the poster to fit Aussie laws (the triangle, for one) create a new copyright for the design, and therefore have to be registered simultaneously in the US to receive copyright protection? Crisco 1492 (talk) 06:58, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- The notion that the artwork for the poster of a major film release by a major studio with major stars (Lombard and Benny) would be left up to the printer is, please excuse me, entirely ludicrous.
- Comment: The text at the bottom says (some of it is not easily legible): "Lithographed and printed in Australia by Victory Publicity Pty. Ltd. Sydney / Melbourne." The movie itself is by United Artists. What "For General Exhibition" means is unclear. I am sure a real person also composed the artwork for the poster. -Mardus (talk) 02:33, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- In the above comment I was referring to the American poster, which I have yet to see a high-quality scan of. If the American poster 1) Used the same or similar design and 2) was published without a copyright notice, than this Aussie poster would be PD as well. Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:37, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Missing important info. Which US federal employee went this close to him and shot his photo? Why didn't they arrest him? Officer (talk) 14:23, 5 March 2012 (UTC) The photo credit being to Dept of State does not imply a US federal employee, or even contractor, took the photo, it only implies the US Dept of State has the right to use the photo.
No US Federal Employee took this photograph. This image is a still from an interview Al Jazeera claims to have had with Sirajuddin Haqqani.
