Tivoli Audio is an American manufacturing company producing tabletop radios and similar audio products. It was founded in 2000[1] by Tom DeVesto with the help of Henry Kloss.[2]

History
editThe company was founded in Massachusetts in 2000 by audio engineer, Henry Kloss, and entrepreneur Tom DeVesto. They wanted to fill a gap in the consumer audio market for high-quality, affordable audio products. Their first product, the Model One, was designed to receive FM radio signals in congested urban locations and distant or low-power stations. Kloss noted that the mid-60s wave of Japanese radios struggled to receive FM stations in congested locations, and this influenced his radio designs throughout his career. Kloss died in 2002, but the company continued to operate. By 2006, Tivoli Audio was selling products in over 30 countries.[1]
As of 2015, the company operates under new management, with Paul De Pasquale as Chief Executive Officer[3] and Designer, and Dan Atanasov, Chief Financial Officer. De Pasquale developed the initiative to connect the brand with the hospitality industry, focusing on products and practices. The company has had partnerships with Ritz Carlton, Marriott Hotels, and Ace Hotels. The company also partnered with Supreme in 2018 with a limited-edition model.
In 2016, Tivoli Audio launched the ART wireless collection, featuring modern audio technology and music features such as wi-fi streaming and Spotify Connect. As of 2019,[4] Tivoli Audio opened a flagship showroom and shop on Boston's Newbury Street.
Products
editAfter the Model One, the next decade saw several new releases such as the PAL (Portable Audio Laboratory), Model Three (Alarm Clock Radio), and the All-in-one Music System. The DAB+ product range, portable PAL+, and PAL+BT received the best test from Lyd & Bilde.[5] This range of products was popular in Scandinavian DAB+ countries such as Denmark and Norway following the PAL+ in 2011. In 2016, Tivoli Audio released the ART Collection.
Tivoli has collaborated with brands like Coach, Cappallini, Anthropology, NPR, and Supreme to produce collections.
