- Evidence
(some narrative presented in first-person tone by me, User:Akradecki)
- 9/29 User:Wikzilla, in this edit, brags about having multiple user names in order to evade blocks. After some very arrogant editing (during which he received a 3RR blcok), and despite warnings, he continued his disruptive editing, removing cited material from two different articles, [1], [2], and[3]. Wizilla received a 48 hr blocked for vandalism/civility.
- 9/30 User:Rangerwik makes his very first edits, editing the same articles with the same tone (and even the same edit summaries, compare [4] with [5]). As this user was clearly a sock, he was indef blocked, and since it was being used to evade Wikzilla's block, his block was extended from 48 hours to 1 week.
- 9/30 within 20 minutes of Wikzilla's block, the user:Asskradecki was created and left this rather rude note for me, acknowledging that he was using multiple accounts. At this point, Wikzilla was indef blocked for blatant puppeteering.
- 10/1 - 10/8 - Using multiple IPs, a small selection of which were listed above, this editor made numerous vandalism and harrassment edits, rambling about being "Dufus, Wikzilla's dog". Some examples: 162.83.224.104 which even vandalized AIV, 71.247.232.205, 71.247.234.118 who hit User:Nawlinwiki's page after he reverted vandalism to mine. There are well over a dozen other examples of this editors campaign of vandalism and harrassment. The dynamic IPs often start with 70, 71, 141, 162. This particular edit even dropped an old, out-of-date home address for me into and article I'd written.
- 10/8 IP 162.84.186.78 made a series of contentious edits (removing cited material) to one of the pages Wikzilla and subsequent socks edited, and to stop an edit war, the page was s-protected, after which the user User:Wikawuka showed up making the same edits with the same edit summary. This was the first edits for this account, though the account was created on 9/29 within a half hour of Wikzilla's threat to use multiple accounts. Wikawuka was blocked and twice appealed his block, acting as if he had nothing to do with Wikzilla and sockpuppetry. Two other admins, User:Riana and User:Butseriouslyfolks denied the unblocks, and the latter protected Wikawuka's talk page to prevent further abuse of unblock templates.
- 10/26 IP 70.107.171.151 made this edit signing as "Stoptheabuse". He also made vandal edits in three ArbCom cases, and this edit to ArbCom clerk User:Picaroon's page. User:Stoptheabuse then started making toll edits to an ArbCom case.
- 10/27 the following day, User:NotASockPuppetOfWikzilla showed up making edits to one of the parties in the ArbCom case.
- 10/27 User:NotATrollOfWikzilla was blocked as a sock by User:Acalamari; no edits were actually made from this account.
- 10/28 User:Wikanroll inserted a troll edit into an unrelated dispute, attacking User:John; Wikanroll was subsequently blocked by User:RG2. The edit summary language, the name similarity, and the fact that the account was created on 10/1, within hours of Wikzilla's block indicate that this is a related sock.
- 11/1 - Because of some similar, contentious edit summaries to the same articles, it has been suspected that User:Philbaaker which was created 10/12 might be involved, but evidence is weak at this point.
- 11/2 - User:Williewikka began making disruptive edits to one of the same pages (Eurofighter Typhoon). These are the first edits by this account, even though it was created over a month ago, also on 10/1, shortly after Wikanroll was created. This account was He has been tagged as a suspected sock by User:Citicat.
- 11/4 - User:Wikalliz appeared and began a series of minor cleanup edits, though on the fifth edit, this one, Wikalliz removed a comment by another user (and a regularly targetted one). Over the next two days, this editor made series of innocuous, if unhelpful cleanup edits. Editor apparently complained off-wiki of "harrassment" to User:John Reaves, who eventually blocked as a sock of Wikzilla. Note that alliz is zilla backwards.

- One comment, please make the various comments, conclusions things into level 3 or 4 headers. Secondly, I did an analysis of this. It can be found at http://tools.wikimedia.org/~eagle/socks/Wikzilla.1.html. Basically what it is doing is comparing each sock to the suspected master account. Any pages where they both edit to are reported, with a link to the version. Should make sifting through these 13 or so potential socks easier. —— Eagle101Need help? 17:54, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I blocked 71.247.233.136 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) earlier today for a string of blatant vandalism and was directed here. That IP looks like another sock. Hut 8.5 18:29, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there's anything more to do here. I'm leery of blocking IP addresses, even if they're supposedly non-portable. But all of the named accounts and most of the IPs are indef blocked. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
