Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Disambiguations

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Disambiguations. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Disambiguations|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Disambiguations. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Socialist Party (India) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

I strongly doubt "Indian political parties named Socialist Party" is a notable list topic per WP:NLIST. I propose turning this article into a disambiguation page. Sourced claims that are present here should be moved to applicable articles. Janhrach (talk) 16:46, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT in Poland (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Redirect to LGBT history in Poland per wp:2DABS following Israel case, unless categories count? See also these redirect and RM discussions. --MikutoH talk! 22:31, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Park Sung-hoon (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Per WP:PRIMARYRED, unnecessary disambiguation page as only one other article currently exists for this name, Park Sung-hoon (actor). Other person named Park Sunghoon is located at Sunghoon per his WP:COMMONNAME.

Disambiguation page should be deleted and Park Sung-hoon (actor) should be moved into its place at Park Sung-hoon. RachelTensions (talk) 03:37, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dog poop (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

An unnecessary disambiguation page. Walsh90210 (talk) 20:28, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Middle names don't count, so only there's only one entry. Clarityfiend (talk) 10:07, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Cannon (comics) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Barely one legit entry, if that. No mention of Cannon in WildStorm article. Clarityfiend (talk) 23:34, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yellow Line (New York) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Originally a redirect to BMT Broadway Line, this page got turned into an incomplete disambiguation page (WP:INCDAB) listing two more New Yorker yellow lines that neither mention "yellow" in the article body nor are listed on the Yellow Line dab page (i.e. unlikely search target?). Since INCDAB pages aren't ideal, I see the following solutions for this particular page:

  1. Upmerge all entries to Yellow Line and redirect to Yellow Line {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}
  2. Redirect back to the original BMT Broadway Line target, maybe add hatnotes
  3. Delete to avoid confusion over dab-worthiness
  4. Keep and accept this INCDAB

Whatever the result, I'd do the same for the 6 other NY color line INCDABs (not part of this AFD). – sgeureka tc 14:04, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Left-wing coalition (Italy) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

A very weird incomplete disambiguation page (WP:INCDAB). (1) There is no general/international Left-wing coalition dab page where this could be merged, and I can't find other WP pages listing left-wing coalitions. (2) Maybe there is potential for a WP:BROADCONCEPT article like Left-wing politics in Croatia, but the notability of the topic is unclear: There is no interwiki link (including Italian); List of political parties in Italy mentions "left-wing" once, and List of political coalitions in Italy none. So: Should this page even exist? – sgeureka tc 12:08, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did not technically "create" the article, it was created [2] by @Nick.mon: when there was a coalition of left-wing parties in Sicily which eventually became Free and Equal (Italy) and thus redirected there. It wasn't accurate since there are/were other coalitions before and after. I wouldn't mind a WP:BROADCONCEPT article or maybe something like Centre-right coalition (Italy) (the latter would have the problem that multiple coalition compete, in 2018 there were three coalitions) Braganza (talk) 12:21, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fitzhugh Lee (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

WP:TWODABS applies. The only legit entries are the general and the vice admiral. Middle names, Fitz Lee (Medal of Honor) and Lee Fitzhugh don't count. Clarityfiend (talk) 22:49, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
