Categories

[edit source]

Hello,

Wikibooks does not use categories in the same way as Wikipedia. We do not group books or pages in different books together by type (like Annotations). Categories are used solely to hold the pages that belong in one book. Subjects (via the {{Subjects}} template) are then used to group books of a similar subject together. Therefore, it isn't appropriate to add extra categories to books the way you have been doing. Thanks. QuiteUnusual (discusscontribs) 14:31, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

For example, you created the category "Annotated Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms" and gave it a category of Annotations. This should be categorised as "Constitutional law" which is the subject that the book belongs to. QuiteUnusual (discusscontribs) 14:33, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
