Pokhara

Pokhara is the second largest city of Nepal and the capital of Gandaki Province. The name Pokhara comes from the Nepali word "Pokhari " (Nepali: पोखरी) which translate into "pond".[1] It is the main tourism centre of Nepal. It is 200 kilometres (120 mi) away from the capital, Kathmandu. The altitude of Pokhara ranges between 600 metres (2,000 ft) to 850 metres (2,790 ft) above the sea level.[2]Pokhara Municipality is the capital of Gandaki Province of Nepal. As per the National Census of 2011, Pokhara is Nepal's second highest populated nation with 599,504 inhabitants.[3]
