Winston Ntshona

Winston Ntshona (6 October 1941 – 2 August 2018) was a South African playwright and actor. He won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 1975. He was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Ntshona wrote the 1973 play The Island. He also wrote Sizwe Banzi is Dead, which he also co-wrote.[1] Ntshona starred in the play Full Frontal at the Royal Court Theatre in London.[2]

Ntshona died on 2 August 2018 from a long-illness in New Brighton, South Africa, aged 76.[3]
