Wheeee!!!

Flight of the Bumblebee is an online game, made available on the Transformers section of Hasbro's web site as part of the live-action movie promotion in 2007. It's crazy-fun. The American Psychiatric Association has found that Flight of the Bumblebee is a suitable substitute for love. (Not really).

Synopsis

Bumblebee is trapped in a canyon by a group of Decepticons including Brawl, Scorponok, Barricade and Wreckage. He must leap from steppe to steppe in car mode, gathering Energon along the way, and acquire the energy necessary to defeat any Decepticon he cannot avoid.

Gameplay

Flight of the Bumblebee is a 2-D platformer style game. You use the arrow keys to move forwards, backwards, or jump through each level, while collecting "Energon" power-ups but avoiding Decepticon Air Mines, which cause damage. Falling into one of the many pitfalls also causes damage before Bumblebee is teleported back to a safe area to resume gameplay. Whenever Bumblebee encounters a Decepticon, he transforms to robot mode and you are taken to a separate screen to do battle against your opponent. In this screen, the Decepticon fires his weapons constantly at Bumblebee, the damage slowly building up. You defeat your opponent by speed-typing weapon codes, three digit-long numbers and pressing enter. This causes Bumblebee to fire his own weapons. Once the enemy is defeated, you are returned to the "platformer" game screen, and resume your journey out of the canyon.

If you lose (say, by leaving the game running while you go off to eat dinner), the Decepticons will gather "to celebrate your pitiful defeat".
