Short biography
John Chrysostom (c. 347–407, Greek: Ἰωάννης ὁ Χρυσόστομος), Archbishop of Constantinople, was an important Early Church Father. He is known for his preaching and public speaking, his denunciation of abuse of authority by both ecclesiastical and political leaders, the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and his ascetic sensibilities. The epithet Χρυσόστομος (Chrysostomos, anglicized as Chrysostom) means "golden-mouthed" in Greek and was given on account of his legendary eloquence.

This book reoriented my world view from thinking money brings freedom and believing money simply amplifies who you really are (if you’re good, with money you’ll do good things; if you’re bad, with money you’ll do evil) to seeing how God’s hand allows wealthy people and poor people to suffer and/or live in luxury for their salvation. An eye opening and humbling book full of wisdom and practical theology.
