Taking a Stand: Portraits from the Southern Secession Movement, by Walter Brian Cisco (read Sept 16, 2000) This odd book examines five prominent pro-secessionists, presenting their views with apparent belief that they were valid arguments. This is as pro-South a book as I have read in years, and while not profound was worth reading, just because it is so unusual to read such pro-slavery views presented with apparent approval!
