A journalist gets caught up in a murder mystery when he takes over a horoscope column. It wants to be all Twin Peaks with oddball characters and secret societies and paranoia and weirdness, but I found the journey dull and the destination pointless -- sort of like Twin Peaks.

I think I'm just not much of a [a:Richard Sala|224666|Richard Sala|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1416201709p2/224666.jpg] fan. [b:Peculia|808944|Peculia|Richard Sala|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1348273466s/808944.jpg|794885] seems to me to be more of a niche read; it's a well-done book but hard to enjoy if it's not your niche. I didn't enjoy/appreciate the way women were depicted throughout the book, either.

Completely unsatisfactory conclusion, unless there's at least one more book to follow-up on everything left unexplained.
