I really liked this story. The attention to detail is wonderful and made this story come alive for me. I'm still craving chocolate weeks later when I think of what these guys got up to with the chocolate syrup... Sorry, I digress. But then, chocolate and hot men will do that to me.

Wendell is a great guy, and, like many people with a disability, isn't being treated fairly. He doesn't let that stop him, though, and when he meets Caleb things get interesting. No rushing into anything, though. I liked how Zach took the time to develop the relationship, even in such a short story. But the heat at the end? Definitely melted my heart.

Thanks, Zach, for a lusciously delightful read!

This story is surprising in many different ways. It has some great food descriptions as Rusty prepares a Valentine’s Day dinner for Hal, his partner of five years. The food is delicious, and the two men are clearly ready for the main event once they are done eating. Retiring to the basement for some very hot sex, they are truly wrapped up in each other. Their professional-grade bomb shelter, built by Rusty for the slightly paranoid Hal, is so safe that anything could happen outside and they wouldn’t know.

Thing is – they do eventually have to resurface. And that is when the final surprise took my breath away. Worthy of a Twilight Episode, it managed to totally surprise me. Guess I should have read the blurb more carefully… If you’re looking for a sweet story that packs a real punch, if you like hot man-on-man action and if you love surprises – don’t miss this story! Believe me, you won’t know what hit you.

'False Assumptions' is a wonderful feel-good story about two men who are best friends but each secretly wants to be more. The basic problem is what each thinks about the other, or about himself. The "great reveal" may be scary at first, which is why they hesitated, and the fear of losing a great friendship holds them both back. At the same time, this story can serve as encouragement to go for what you really want.

Joss is a gay man who also likes to cross dress. Many people don’t get why he does it, but the simple truth is that he enjoys it. He is a pretty happy guy, and even though he is looking for love, he believes he is "too different" for anyone to really understand and accept him. Yes, his best friend Gus "gets" him, but Joss assumes that Gus, like everyone else, just isn’t interested in him beyond what they have.

Gus finally takes the initiative of letting Joss know how much more than a friend he is to him, and is pleasantly surprised when Joss has no issue with it. All of Joss's assumptions about Gus being into BDSM also turn out to be incorrect, so the door is now wide open for the two men to explore their new reality.

Their first kiss as lovers at midnight is a nice touch, as is the way they look forward to exploring their newfound love. If you like short, sweet stories that will make you smile, and if you're looking for one that captures the spirit of New Year's and new beginnings, then you should give this one a try.
