Mousy Milly, who hates that nickname, is given a terminal cancer diagnosis. She decides it’s time to quit her shitty job with her overbearing (yet extremely handsome) boss. Except the boss doesn’t seem to want to let her go! And then she gets bitten by a wolf! The short length of the Howl’s line did this one a bit of a disservice– there’s not enough worldbuilding for this to be a standalone. Reading other Taylor books provides needed context.
