This is fun in its superficial way but it turns what I think is children's complex engagement with things like fire trucks (my son's, anyway) into something kind of death drivelike, compulsive. "Gonna wash my hair gonna brush my teeth GONNA RIDE THE FIRE TRUCK GONNA RIDE THE FIRE TRUCK gonna go to school." You know? Just because they can't speak all the ways the fire truck speaks to them doesn't mean they aren't all there, lighting up new little neural pathways.
Presents an illustrated version of a song about a boy who imagines himself as a fireman. Fire truck! Fire truck! I want to ride on a fire truck! Climb aboard and sing this rollicking song! PLUS, sheet music at the back of the book! -- GoodReads
