Oh disappointment! I had an hour left to listen, and knowing it was going to disappear from Audible Plus today, I made sure to allow sufficient time before midnight - but it disappeared from Audible at 10pm - so be warned fellow listeners!

I really wanted to finish this too, because I was vested in Herschel Wood and Trent Armstrong finding their HEA. Both have spent time in prison which is how they both befriended Bishop Stockley, who discovered his love, Edison, in a previous book.

Bishop helps out both men upon their release, and they both end up living in Bishop's dad Mike's caravan home.

Wood has been in prison 17 years for manslaughter and it is heartbreaking to follow him as he tries to mend bridges burnt on the night of the car accident. The scene when he tries to reconnect with his evangelical parents is one of the most horrifically sad and shocking encounters I've witnessed (fictionally) between three humans.

This novel will stick with me. It's read by Tor Thom. ( )

I enjoyed Wood story, we had 'met ' him in Bishop and I wasn't too sure what to expect until we meet him in his own story.

I found him to be a well written character and his and Trent's story is heartwarming. I found this book to be not as long and hard to read as Bishop which is surprising since is same author, in same series but I know all books and characters are different. This was definitely an easier read for me.
