Sweet lord. I had no idea going into this that life would cease to exist. My house could have caught fire and I wouldn't have known until it was touching me.

This story is full of suspense, angst, and love. There are heartbreaking moments. It also touches on a huge range of current topics like addiction, female perceptions in society, and pressures that are all relevant in today's political climate (especially in the US). The author seamlessly ties them together without it ever feeling like there is too much. All of the events are relevant to the story. The characters were amazing, the steamy times were hot, and the connection between them was fate.

The story ends on a cliffhanger. I'll be waiting on baited breath for the conclusion.… (more)

Phenomenal

I'm awestruck right now. This author had so many details in this story in order to answer every secret and mystery. My heart was in my chest several times. I screamed at what Eric and Jane went through. They both lost so much. I got teary eyed as Jane, and even Eric, healed over a certain awful thing. That loss was huge.

The author definitely poured her heart and soul into this book. It was apparent in the amount of love and detail that she did. Books like this, hell, characters like this, are why I love to read. I was expecting more from the ending but there is a link to a bonus if you sign up for her newsletter(I already do so that's not a big problem). I'm thinking that the bonus epilogue is going to give that to me. I also am excited for the next spinoff. I was intrigued by those characters.
